Tuscan homes is the brainchild of the Elefante brothers, John and Dino, who are long time veterans of the music business. John was the lead singer of the rock group Kansas and Dino co-wrote many of the hits. They shared mega success being nominated for 9 Grammy awards, and winning 4 with around 20 million records to their credit. What does this have to do with building homes, you might ask.?

The brothers and their families moved to middle Tennessee 13 years ago and built what became one of the most elaborate, ornate and successful recording facilities in the US in which they decided to sell in 2004, The Soundkitchen. www.soundkitchen.com

Building the Soundkitchen was very challenging because it was like building a 24,000 sq. ft. home that had to look great and sound great. During their 13 years in Middle Tennessee, and as far back as their days in Southern California, they were both building homes as a hobby (about 10 or so). John has always said that designing and building a home is very much like writing a great song it all has to fit together to be a hit, and the creative aspect is very much like constructing a great piece of music.

When friends would visit the brothers homes the question always arose, 'why don't you guys start building homes?' After much thought they decided to start Tuscan homes in 2004 even though their experience building started long before that. Our mantra, says Dino, is to 'build a home that I would want to live in'.

We think the pictures in the gallery speak to that effect.

Sincerely, The Elefante Brothers.
